The Racecourse Road Street Party is part of the annual Brisbane Festival that is currently in full swing. It's on this Sunday 20th September at Racecourse Road, Ascot/Hamilton from 10am until 5pm.
Come along for a fantastic day with free live music across four stages, an abundance of food, craft and art market stalls, music and dance workshops and lots more. Click here and here to find out lots more info.
Of course Little Diva Designs will be there in amongst the Market stalls. In fact, there will be quite a large contingent of BrisStyle stall holders and we've even managed to secure stalls together outside the St Augustine's Church Hall (home of the BrisStyle Independent Designer Markets). Look out for the special BrisStyle balloons !!!
I'll be sharing a stall with the lovely Mimoo so come and say hello to us...

and the winning idea is......
...actually there's two winning ideas because I combined a bit of both:
Faith Hope and a whole lotta Love and Jessi. Congratulations ladies.... Send an email to me at littlediva @ aapt.net.au and I'll get you to choose your prize - a ring of course !!
So here it is, I really liked Jessi's idea of the photo frame with the nails to hang the rings individually but decided to use my mini pegs to attach them instead....
and then I also loved the idea of using a "wooden trinket display cabinet thingy" (love the wording there - he he) from Faith Hope and a whole lotta Love.
I was stoked when I went searching through the cupboards to find something to use and I came across these fabulous Royal Selangor boxes which used to house my husbands 21st Pewter Mugs (which thankfully are now on display in the bar downstairs!).
I took all the bits and pieces of foam out, found some paint in pink and green - which coincidentally happened to be the exact same colour of pink and green as the bowls I originally used as my ring displays - and gave them a couple of coats of paint.
So, I love it because I still get to use the rice idea and also get to use my mini pegs. I also have less to cart around now as I can keep the rice in the boxes, instead of a separate container, and the rings that are pegged can also stay there.
What do you think?
If you live in Brisbane and want to see my little creations and also my range of rings in person, I'll be at the Racecourse Road Street Party, Hamilton/Ascot, this Sunday (just outside the St Augustine's Church Hall). Otherwise, I'm hoping to have time to list some of the rings in my Made It store next week.
Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to share your fantastic ideas. There were other ideas I really liked too but I just didn't have the time or patience to pull them off!!

Some new Customer Photos...
I've been sent some new customer photos recently that I thought I'd share with you all.
This first photo was sent to me by Deb from Fabricated, who is a fellow stallholder at the Boutique Markets. She makes, among other things, fabulous adults and kids handbags by recycling denim jeans and adding all sorts of embellishments. Click here to visit her blog.
This is her gorgeous daughter in one of my embellished singlets and a custom made skirt. Isn't she the cutest! I don't make top & skirt sets anymore but I'm always happy to custom make a skirt to go with a top or vice versa.
The next couple of photos were sent to me by Amber from Fresh Fabric Australia. Amber was lucky enough to win a giveaway from Handmade Kids which was the girls bundle of items that were part of the first Creative People's Challenge. In that bundle was my "Betsy-Lou" who I made just for this challenge.
Here's a photo of Amber's gorgeous 10 month old daughter deep in conversation with Betsy-Lou...
and here's a couple of her 2 year old son putting Betsy-Lou to bed...
I'm so glad she went to a good home where she is obviously well loved...
If you're looking for some beautiful fabrics, make sure you visit Amber's Etsy store Fresh Fabric Australia. Finally, someone opened a fabric store on Etsy based here in OZ... YAY!!
Lastly, if you have any photos you'd like to send, please email them to me at littlediva @ aapt.net.au (make sure you give me permission to put them on this blog and my Facebook Fan Page).

I need your creative brains.... and you could win too!!
I need some creative help here people !! I had my new rings displayed on my market stall yesterday and thought they looked pretty cool sitting in their bowls of rice - lots of comments too but I do admit that it's not my own original idea. Anyway, the only problem with the bowls is you can't actually see what's in them unless you are standing right there:
As the rings aren't just for little kiddies, I need to display some so that those strolling past can see them and (hopefully) be drawn into my stall rather than walking on by thinking it's all just for little girls !!
My first thought was to just buy a ring holder like this one below,
but I don't really want to spend more money on display items and I'm sure I (or one of you) can come up with something amazing and handmade by me.
So your challenge is: Create an idea for me to make something from materials I would most likely have at home (or can buy at a reasonable price). ie. I have these cute mini pink pegs that I could use to attach to something ??
The best part is, if I use your idea, I'll send you a ring of your choice as a memento... he he.
So get thinking everyone as I have another market this Sunday, Racecourse Road Street Party at Ascot, so I need to make it this week.... Can't wait to see what you all come up with!!

No need to panic anymore if you lose the kids!!!
Tat your Tot is a new company with a brilliant idea.
When you take your children out (or someone else takes them out), do you ever wonder what would happen if they wandered off? Would they know all the information they need to know or even be able to remember it all in a time of panic, to find their way back to you?
With Tat your Tot's personalised Identitats, your children will have all their medical and contact details so they can make a speedy return to you.
And on a less serious note, how cool would these Identitats be for your child's next birthday party...
As a special offer for Little Diva Designs Newsletter Subscribers, Tat your Tot will be offering a 20% discount in this month's newsletter - due out this week. How fantastic is that?? Click here to check out their website.
If you don't subscribe already, it's not too late. Sign up today by sending your email address to littlediva @ aapt.net.au.

Stamp It... Stamp It... Stamp It...
I'm probably going to go crazy stamping everything in sight as I just received in the mail, my new rubber stamp. It's just of my new logo but I love it.
I've already started stamping my little envelopes:
to put my new rings into when I sell lots of them *wink* at the markets...
Next you'll probably see a photo of my kids with stamps all over them.... just kidding, I'm not quite that crazy !!
P.S. If you want a stamp of your own, mine was from Argee Rubber Stamps. The price was excellent, service fantastic and I received the stamp super quick in the post!

Citrus is back......
I was soooo disappointed when I found out a while ago that this gorgeous Citrus Fabric was discontinued.
I'd been searching everywhere for it and had given up, but recently one of my stockists, Mini Boutique, called to ask for some more dresses in that fabric. So I had another look on the internet and was amazed to find some... YAY!!
I just love the pattern and colours and think it is just perfect for spring... (maybe with a little top underneath for those with cooler weather).
I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get any more, so head on over to my Made It store before you miss out forever.... (I've only got it listed with a yellow or orange trim/ribbon, but I can also make it with a pink polkadot trim/ribbon too - just put the request in with your order).
