Trick or Treat....

Now that my girls are older I can't really get away with not doing Trick or Treat with them because they know what goes on... Anyway, luckily the kids over the back put a note in every one's letterboxes around the neighbourhood to leave your outdoor light on if you want kids to knock so that makes it much easier.

Here's my witch, devil fairy and dragon ready to go.... scary aren't they???

and the good thing was, we already had all three costumes in the dress-up box.

Happy Halloween everyone...

Fabulous Photographer spots Little Diva Designs....

I received a lovely email last week from Rachel Richter telling me that she'd been browsing the Mathilda's Markets website and clicked through to my site. She said one of the dresses looked very familiar and when she looked back at a photo shoot she'd done she was sure it was a Little Diva Designs dress:

It sure is and doesn't little Chloe look just divine! What a beautiful little girl and what gorgeous photography.

I looked further at Rachel's blog and her photos are so beautiful. Rachel is a photographer based on Brisbane's southside and has been photographing families and children for six years.

Click here to see more photos of Chloe and also here for the website of Rachel Richter Photography.

Thank you Rachel and Chloe's mum for letting me post this photo on my blog and thanks to Rachel for emailing me...

P.S. The citrus fabric is running out and has been discontinued so click here if you want to buy one of your own...

B.Box is the best.....

Check out this fantastic creation I came across recently. What a wonderful gift for a new Mum.

b.box – the essential baby box was created by Melbourne mums Monique Filer and Dannielle Michaels – who were looking for a stylish and practical nappy wallet that enabled them to reclaim their favourite handbags.

The first nappy wallet, made of plastic, b.box holds its compact shape even when fully packed. It has recently been in leading baby magazines and online baby review sites, including Studio Bambini, Shop 4 Kids and Babyology and it was also featured on New Idea as part of an ultimate baby shower gift segment.

The b.box is available in 5 colours and designs and comes with wipe clean change mat, unique dual access wipes hatches, built in wipes compartment and storage for nappies and disposable bags. Everything you need for a quick nappy change on the go, in one clever little box.

To see their other gorgeous designs and how it all works, click here to visit their website.

Tweet.... Tweet.... Tweet....

**EDIT: These are now available to purchase in sets of four from my Made it store.

As I explained recently, the day before a market when I'm getting packed and ready to go, I always have an urge to create something new. For some reason I feel like I just don't have enough. Normally it passes as I don't have time to start something new, let alone make enough to have at the markets. Anyway, this time I did start making something new and I think they're really cute:

I thought they'd be great little Christmas decorations to hang on the Christmas tree or you could buy a bunch and turn them into a gorgeous garland for a girls bedroom. Any other ideas?

Thanks to my market neighbour Mel from Kimono Reincarnate for the photo. Here's a pic of her stall below. You must check out her gorgeous wares here.

I'm loving these fabrics and I've just made some gorgeous new rings too from these.... the glue is still drying so photos to come...

You can see the dresses and rings this Sunday at Boutique Markets, Portside Wharf Hamilton in Brisbane. It's on from 8am to 1pm. Otherwise I'll be listing them in my Made it store next week.

awwww... look how they turned out...

Further to my post the other day, I've made a couple of softies from the gorgeous Saffron Craig fabric.

Here's the Koala:

the Owl:

and both from the back:

Did you notice these two little cuties at the foot of each bigger softie?

Aren't they just gorgeous?? I don't think I'll be making too many of them as they're only 6cm tall... rather fiddly to sew and turn right side out as you could imagine!!

I might have to use them for applique or something, although I don't think that would be very easy either!!

Something new to play with...

I just received this gorgeous fabric in the mail today that I ordered last week from Funky Fabrix.

Isn't it just the cutest?? It's a softies panel from fabric designer, Saffron Craig.

So I'm going to make up the softies but haven't worked out what to do with the little ones yet!!

Little Diva's newest stockist......

I went for a little trip out to Ipswich today to take lots of rings to my newest stockist, Handmade Heaven.

Liesa has a gorgeous little shop in "The Old Flour Mill" and it was great to finally see it in person. You can find lots of my new rings there and plenty of other handmade goodness...

Here's a photo of Liesa having a cuddle with my kids:

I decided to take the kids with me to make a day of it and we met my sister-in-law and her daughter who came down from Toowoomba.

First stop after setting up my rings at Handmade Heaven was the Ipswich Art Gallery for the "Wonderland" exhibition. This free exhibition was very interesting and the kids loved it. They even got to do some craft too.

Then we headed off to Queens Park which is huge and has the most fantastic playground. A spot of lunch and a couple of hours play at the park and it was time to head back home.....
