Cute and Comfy Summer Dresses....

Here's some gorgeous little dresses I'll be selling at the BrisStyle Market on Saturday...

They come in sizes 2, 3 and 4 and colours are pink, aqua, grey and red...

The flowers are actually badges so they can be taken off to wash the dress and you can also attach them to other clothes, hats etc.

These are "American Apparel" dresses (sweat-shop free) made from 100% combed cotton and I'm told by my girls that they are very soft and comfy. They've got a gorgeous little racer-back too...

I've only had time to create 6 and I'm not sure if I'll get to make any more but I'll see how I go. I do also have some of these dresses in another style though:

If you want one, get in early to the BrisStyle Market this Saturday...

(A big thank you goes to my models Riley and Charlotte - wearing their own dresses)

This is one market you don't want to miss...

Mathilda's Market is coming to Brisbane again and Little Diva Designs will be there this time.

These markets are becoming very popular and well known for gorgeous, unique and mostly handcrafted goods for kids. It's on Sunday 1st November from 9am to 1pm and from what I've heard, you should get in early!!

What a fabulous way to stock up on Christmas Goodies for the kids, nieces, nephews, grandkids etc...

You'll find Mathilda's Market at Brisbane City Hall, between Adelaide and Ann Streets, King George Square, Brisbane City and entry is free. Click here to see which amazing stallholders will be there.

Tweet.... Tweet.... Tweet....

**EDIT: These are now available to purchase in sets of four from my Made it store.

As I explained recently, the day before a market when I'm getting packed and ready to go, I always have an urge to create something new. For some reason I feel like I just don't have enough. Normally it passes as I don't have time to start something new, let alone make enough to have at the markets. Anyway, this time I did start making something new and I think they're really cute:

I thought they'd be great little Christmas decorations to hang on the Christmas tree or you could buy a bunch and turn them into a gorgeous garland for a girls bedroom. Any other ideas?

Thanks to my market neighbour Mel from Kimono Reincarnate for the photo. Here's a pic of her stall below. You must check out her gorgeous wares here.

Something new....

I've been feeling the need to create a few new things for Little Diva Designs lately - even though I don't really have the time!! Anyway, there is one thing that I'm testing at the moment so I can't show you that just yet but it will come in very handy for summer - especially kids swimming lessons!!

Here is one I can show you though. My new fabric covered button rings:

These little cuties are adjustable the smallest you can adjust them to is approx 15mm (diameter).

I'm not going to list them online yet but I'll be selling them at the next Boutique Markets on Sunday 13th September.

The button size is 22mm.

Don't forget, Christmas will be here in no time and these would be perfect stocking fillers....
Have a fantastic weekend everyone....

Hoot.... Hoot.... can you hear them coming!!

You'll probably remember these Owls I made for Jo from Lovestamp recently for her market stall:

Well, the lovely Jo has been fielding so many customer queries at the markets for me that I've decided to start making some (with her approval of course!!).

I've got quite a bit of sewing to do over the next few weeks but once that is done I'll make some Owls (hopefully before my next market, Boutique Markets on Sunday 9th August). Of course I can custom make in the fabrics or colours of your choice too.

So keep following my blog or sign up for my newsletter (just send me your email address) to find out when they're available.

If you want to see them on the Lovestamp stall, click here and here for some photo's.

EDIT: 29Jul - It doesn't look like I'll have any owls made for the next Boutique Markets on 9th August so if you really want one for a gift or anything in the next 3-4 weeks, let me know and I'll make one especially for you in fabrics of your choice.

It arrived.... YAY !

This is why I was waiting so patiently for the Postman yesterday:

You'll probably remember my post recently where I made a couple of Owls for the lovely Jo at Lovestamp.

Well, we had decided on doing a swap, so after a lot of deliberation I finally picked the necklace I wanted and it came, beautifully packaged, yesterday...

There's two packages because I also ordered one for my sister - I can't show you hers yet as it's a belated Birthday present and I'm giving it to her tonight.

here's mine though:

(sorry about the photography - clearly I'm not good at photographing jewellery!!)

I just love it and had to wear it straight away. It has my children's names on it and a little x and o (for kisses and hugs of course) at the top.

Thanks Jo... If you want one of these beauties for yourself you can click here to visit the Lovestamp online store or you can also catch Jo at the Boutique Markets tomorrow - where of course I will be wearing mine!!

BIDM was a huge success....

I'm nearly recovered now from my huge weekend....

First on Saturday was the BrisStyle Indie Designers Market (BIDM) over at Hamilton.

(outdoor stalls before starting time)

I must say it was a raging success with the inside hall packed for most of the day. So many fabulous stalls with such different and unique handmade things... Unfortunately I didn't have time (or room) to take any photo's of my stall or others but you can visit some blogs with photo's here and here .

(indoors - before the madness) you can just see my clothes rack over there on the left..

(indoors - during the madness)

By the way, I borrowed these photos from Epheriell Designs and TrishAlan Designs. Hope you lovely ladies don't mind!!

I didn't get around to see everyone but I did manage to pick a few things:

This is my new brooch from Prettyhead Designs. Cute isn't he!! I'm not really into brooches but I just couldn't resist and he's now going to be my little market buddy as he goes well with my black and red market apron. It was lucky I got in early as they almost sold out - there was just three little lonesome heart brooches at the end of the day - well done Casey!

This gorgeous card from Denim Days - thanks Tracey for looking after my stall for me while I had a quick break or a wander...

and this lovely domino pendant from Up in Annie's Room - it's for a friend's belated birthday..

Then on Sunday we had our two Birthday parties. 10am at the park for a 4th Birthday Party and then 2pm at Lollypop world for a 5th Birthday Party.

Here they are ready to head off for the first installment:

I just took the girls to the second birthday party as it would have been too much for Harry and he would have been a nightmare by that time of day with no sleep. He would have loved it though!

So, onto another week. I've got a wholesale order ready to take over to Mini Boutique at St Lucia, another wholesale order to sew for Babies Australia Emporium, some photos to take for the Love Mum website (my newest stockist - online store launching 15th July) and lots of sewing for the Boutique Markets I'll be at this coming Sunday 12th July....

I guess I really should go and get something done... (oh and I've got to write my July Newsletter too - if you're not signed up, send me your email address and you'll go in the draw to win an AUD $15 voucher to my Made It store).

The Owl Project..... complete

Remember a post a little while back about my latest project - the Owls ??

Well, here they are....

I custom made these for Jo from Lovestamp as she was looking to get some toy owls made to represent her Owl Logo (see banner below) and she's going to use them as displays at her market stalls. I believe they are as yet unnamed but no doubt she'll come up with something soon.

Jo is making me one her gorgeous necklaces in return and I can't wait to show you all. I'm also ordering one for my sister's birthday, which was last week, but she can't decide what she wants!

Click here to check out Jo's stunning creations or for Brisbane locals you'll be able to find Jo at the upcoming Boutique Markets on Sunday 12th July and Mathilda's Market on Sunday 19th July. You can also visit her blog here.

Lots going on this week....

Firstly, make sure you tune into Channel 7 this Sunday 28th June at 5:30pm to catch and glimpse of me and some other BrisStyle Members on The Great South East. You might also see my little twinnies doing a bit of modelling!!

Here's a photo of some of us with the host Sofie and Producer Carol:

Speaking of my twinnies, they will be turning 5 next week. OMG, where does the time go!! In one way it feels like they've been around forever and 5 years doesn't seem like any time at all but on the other hand it feels like just the other day I was coming home from hospital with an empty back seat (thankfully I was allowed to bring them home two days later!). Here they are bundled up into the pram (which they didn't even fit into) to get to the car:

Here's a photo I took the other day of Riley and Charlotte (doing a bit of modelling for me):

The blouse's they are wearing are my new "Beachie Blouse" that I've started making. I originally made them to throw on over swimmers or for a light summer top but they look really great over a long sleeve & jeans for winter too. Here's another one:

I've listed two of them in my Etsy store but I'll be listing the third one soon and getting them into my Made It store too.

Anyway, back to the birthdays. We're having a little family party (still more than 20 people though!!) for the girls on Sunday as it was the only day in the next couple of weekends that we could fit it in. Not great timing though as we've got my sister-in-law's 30th on Saturday night. Might be a bit hungover.... eeeekk.

Then, it's also my sister's birthday today, my newest sister-in-law next Friday and next weekend we have two kids birthday parties to go to on Sunday. Whew.... gonna be tired after that !!

And that's after I have my stall at the fabulous BrisStyle Market next Saturday:

I'm feeling tired already......
