Make sure you come and visit Little Diva Designs at the markets tomorrow as this is going to be my last market (for a while anyway) while I concentrate on my new online store to be launched soon...
Boutique Markets, Portside Wharf, Hamilton. Free Parking and great food and coffee for when you need a shopping break.
**EXTENDED HOURS: 9am to 3pm**
Don't despair if you can't make it to the markets as I'll still be selling online for the moment and will be uploading lots of new items next week. Also, I'm offering *Free Postage* on lots of items at the moment.
I just finished wrapping the first Christmas Presents.... how exciting!
Kindy finishes up this week so I just wrapped the presents for the two Kindy teachers and the prac teacher....
It was quite hard trying to decide what to get them.... something they can use at Kindy? something they can use at home? Definately no coffee mugs!! Anyway, we decided on a bit of both....
I bought them a set each of these gorgeous pegs.... one got strawberries, one got pears and one got apples:
A cute little Memo Pad each - I'll tell you where you buy these yourself soon:
and a little birdy Christmas Decoration each (I had to give them something handmade!):
While I was busy wrapping (and the 2 year old was asleep) the girls got busy making cards:
This one for Sarah was made by Riley:
This one for Adrienne was made by Charlotte:
and the one for Natalie was a combined effort. The card by Riley and the envelope by Charlotte and they decided to go with the same theme...
Now I'm just hoping to get the rest of my Christmas shopping finished this week so I can get lots more wrapping done !!
Here's some gorgeous little dresses I'll be selling at the BrisStyle Market on Saturday...
They come in sizes 2, 3 and 4 and colours are pink, aqua, grey and red...
The flowers are actually badges so they can be taken off to wash the dress and you can also attach them to other clothes, hats etc.
These are "American Apparel" dresses (sweat-shop free) made from 100% combed cotton and I'm told by my girls that they are very soft and comfy. They've got a gorgeous little racer-back too...
I've only had time to create 6 and I'm not sure if I'll get to make any more but I'll see how I go. I do also have some of these dresses in another style though:
If you want one, get in early to the BrisStyle Market this Saturday...
(A big thank you goes to my models Riley and Charlotte - wearing their own dresses)
Christmas is coming and no doubt you're all spending money left, right and centre on everyone else!! So, here's a giveaway so you can win something all for yourself or of course if you feel like being really generous you could give it all away as a gift !!
Part of this giveaway is courtesy of Nudey!Rudey! who is based in New Zealand. It's their fantastic "Mother's Little Helper" Organic Soothing Balm and I have one of these to give away to one lucky reader...
Mother's Little Helper is ideal for quenching dry skin, to massage the whole family, protect nappied bottoms and sooth itchy skin on a swelling pregnant belly.
Containing 97% certified organic ingredients, packaged in a handy reuseable tin, free from nut and palm oils you'll find hundreds of uses for the truly multipurpose balm.
You can see the ingredients here:
Now, there's something extra special going on at Nudey!Rudey so please read on:
When Sarina Dickson, the creative vision behind the Christchurch based Nudey!Rudey!, read the short post online, “Could you leave your child because you couldn’t afford to feed them?” she was moved to make a difference.A mother of 2 herself, the very idea of walking away from her beloved children was heartbreaking.
Immediately Sarina contacted Catherine Bolt via her blog www.catherinebolt.com demanding to be allowed to assist her in her incredible mission which involved a move for her entire family, husband and 9 children to Indonesia to raise an orphanage for abandoned children and increasingly vulnerable orang-utans. Sarina being well aware of the plight of abandoned children and the declining habitats of orang-utans, it was decided that $1NZD from every tin of Mother’s Little Helper originally developed for her cloth nappy company would be pledgedand would directly benefit Catherine’s charity Project18.
“Nudey!Rudey! has had an environmental and social commitment since it’s conception. This makes us an ideal partner to Project18 and I am delighted to be able to collaborate with Catherine Bolt to bring her dream to fruition.” Says Sarina Dickson.
Mother’s Little Helper is set to be popular with eco-conscious, and socially responsible retailers who are also encouraged to match Nudey!Rudey!’s donation. 97% organic and containing no palm or nut oils Mother’s Little Helper is a sumptuous and soothing New Zealand made balm designed to take everywhere. Packaged in a stylish yet reuseable tin.Living up to its name, Mother’s Little Helper is ideal for quenching dry skin, to massage the whole family, protect nappied bottoms and sooth itchy skin on a swelling pregnant belly.

I did 13 years of dancing when I was a youngster - ballet, jazz, tap, character etc etc. I also took private lessons and did competitions. (I don't really know how my Mum had time to do anything apart from driving me to and from ballet lessons and comps and sewing!!);
I'm in the process of launching a new online business..... but you'll have to wait to see what it's all about!!
I've never had any sewing lessons - apart from textiles & design in year 10 where I made a horrid outfit for a girl which looks like a clown outfit... LOL. (I've still got it around here somewhere too). And of course watching my Mum sew.
I'm totally addicted to chocolate coated peanuts.... a little tip for you - the Home Brand ones from Woolies are the best!!
I was a Travel Consultant in my previous life!! That actually seems like ages ago but in reality, it was only 3 years ago. Boy do I miss the social life of a travel consultant though!
I grew up in Casino (northern NSW) and went to boarding school in Toowoomba for years 11 & 12.
I met my husband at school but we probably spoke two words to each other in that whole two years... go figure!! Luckily we had some of the same friends and got to know each other a year or so later.

Just thought I'd show you a few new rings that I'll have available at the BrisStyle Markets on 5th December.

Sorry my blog posts have been few and far between lately but I just did my fourth market for November last night and now it's time to get more stock together for the upcoming BrisStyle Market.
Don't go away though as I've got a giveaway coming up very soon....
It's on again and this month at BrisStyle you can win:
this gorgeous set of three 20 x 20cm art prints called "Paris Art Collection" by Twinkle Star Art
or this fantastic set by Embellish which includes a set of keyboard magnets in a silver gift tin, a set of fabric covered button push pins and a tea bag wallet:
It's really not fair that I'm unable to enter but there's nothing stopping you - click here to go to the giveaway post.
Now that my girls are older I can't really get away with not doing Trick or Treat with them because they know what goes on... Anyway, luckily the kids over the back put a note in every one's letterboxes around the neighbourhood to leave your outdoor light on if you want kids to knock so that makes it much easier.
Here's my witch, devil fairy and dragon ready to go.... scary aren't they???
and the good thing was, we already had all three costumes in the dress-up box.
Starting Sunday I have three markets in one week.... eeeek !! Not sure what I was thinking but I've been crazy busy trying to have enough stock of everything. No doubt I'll still be going nuts sewing, glueing and crafting next week but hopefully it won't be too bad.

I received a lovely email last week from Rachel Richter telling me that she'd been browsing the Mathilda's Markets website and clicked through to my site. She said one of the dresses looked very familiar and when she looked back at a photo shoot she'd done she was sure it was a Little Diva Designs dress:
